William Hitchin Esq.
Madrid 24th March 1848
My Dear Sir,
For the last fortnight at least I have been in daily expectation of writing to Mr Brandram, but the necessary materials for the same have not been forthcoming, yet still are every day looked for, and no delay will take place when I have them. Please mention this to Mr Brandram.
In the meantime I send you my list of subscriptions, which I had intended to enclose in his letter. I wish them paid in March, and you will have now barely time to do this for me.
I am not exactly sure how far my Account is drawn, but if it will not bear the £21 here noticed, please pay the Bible Society £1:1:0 in March, and the rest as early as you can draw my April dividends.
I shall be glad to have a note of my Account as early in April as your much business then will allow.
Please to forward the enclosed Letters. The Cape one is a Ship letter, with which 8d. must be paid at the post office. The other to be paid as formerly.
I remain, My Dear Sir,
Yours Truly,
James Thomson.
