W. Hitchin Esq.
Madrid 11th March 1848
My Dear Sir,
I avail myself of the Tract Society to forward you this note, advising a Bill drawn this day on my Private Account, for Fifty Pounds in favour of Henry O'Shea & Co. of this place, at 30 days sight.
I find it will be advantageous, if not necessary, to have a Letter of Credit on this house, from Coutt's Bank. Please to procure me this, and send it, say for £200. I shall probably soon have to draw on my Travelling Account, and in moving over the country, it is desirable to have supplies or orders from this central place.
I hope soon to write Mr. Brandram.
Believe me, Truly Yours,
James Thomson.
