W. Hitchin Esq.

Madrid, 6th June 1848

My Dear Sir,

I thank you for your note of my outgoings since the commencement of April, and you notice of Mr. Wiffen calling on you and getting the money well explains what I enquired about on that score.

I have now to beg you to send to Mr Wiffen the sum of Fifty Pounds, on account of Mr Usoz, and to place the same to my Travelling Account.

            Believe me, Very Truly Yours,

                                    James Thomson.
